After veiwing a page, click the 'jump to'

It seemed I could not clear a page
I had read until I clicked the jump to box. Maybe I am missing something,
but at least it clears those posts I have read

You can also use the navigation up along the top near the logo.

I tried that but the page would not remove the 'red' bubble. I thought something new was posted, only to find it the same as when I clicked off. For me, the Jump to allowed the red bubble to burst.
